My Se7en Links

Posted on: 18 Aug 2011

First of all, big shout out to Becca over at Peace, Love & Bagels for tagging me in her 7 Links Post! If you’ve never heard of Peace, Love & Bagels you should check it out, Becca has a great blog about food, exercising, money matters and of course bagels and love. Oh, and even though she didn’t like how it looked I copied how she wrote 7 Links because I thought it looked good. What do you think?

Anyways, this comes along at a great time because my One Year Blogging Anniversary is tomorrow!

So it’s a great time to look back and reflect on all of the many posts I’ve created here on Creative Soul in Motion, and let me just say that I apologize but I couldn’t just choose one for each category.

Most Beautiful

Finding your true self and accepting your flaws

Self esteem, self worth, self value… terms that never came super easily to me, especially ever since I was in 6th grade and developed curves in all the right places but not at the right time. For years I have hated my thighs, they were always too big particularly for my petite frame.

But you know what?

One day I realized at that moment that I was wasting so much time and energy fighting a part of me that it would be so much better just to accept and love my thighs as they were. This was an astounding moment and truly one of my most beautiful posts.

Words are Action

I really liked this post and always thought it was pretty simple and beautiful.

My Favorite Workout Buddy: My iPod

This was my first guest post for Healthy Living Blogs and became super popular! I still love my iPod and find it SO hard to run without it!

Turning 26: Letting Go, Being Grateful, Dreams & Goals

Birthdays are a big deal to me. They mark the end of a year and a truly fresh start. So 6 months ago exactly when I turned 26 I decided to really start taking charge of my life and wrote ab0ut:

Letting go of the frustrations and sadness that weighed me down

Being grateful every single day

Allowing myself to dream and plan for the next wonderful year of my life

Most Controversial

I didn’t really have any “controversial” posts but if I had to chose I would say that Sharing my Passions & True Beliefs and The Cycle of Pain are the two that I found most fiery and passionate.

Spring Cleaning Guide: Part 1 & Part 2

I have gotten lots of great responses about my Spring Cleaning Guides and how they truly sum up everything Spring Cleaning entails. I must say, my house is happy as well since it’s probably never been that well scrubbed and polished!

Weekend Recap & Advice to My High School Self

When I was a senior in high school I signed my own yearbook. I thought it was the perfect time to reflect on the past 4 years and give my future self advice and honestly, I love re-reading it whenever I feel nostalgic. So, many years later I thought it was time to reflect again. However, I was not expecting so many people to reach out to me about their own advice to their high school selves and what they wish they knew back then.

Not Enough Attention

How Forgiveness and Moving On has Cleared My Brain

This one was pretty much a dud but I really liked it. I feel like a lot of people walk around holding onto a lot of frustrations, sadness and anger and although it’s hard to let go it is SO empowering. Ever since I decided to truly learn to let go I literally feel lighter, better and even more compassionate. Rather than getting mad at everyone around me I feel more inclined to act with patience and understanding.

Letting go of frustrations

Learning to forgive

Understanding how to move on

All of these things have changed my life and I really wanted to show people how simple it is (once you try) and how letting go can have such a wonderful impact on your life.

 Most Proud Of

My Reaction to “Sitting Is Killing Us”

I am so proud of this post not only because of writing it but because it’s really changed my life. Ever since I read “Sitting is Killing Us” I have started standing at work almost all day, every day and I love it! I feel much more active and more awake throughout the work day and I am even starting to  inspire my co-workers, as a few of them have started standing throughout the day. So cool!

Try a New Class! Sports Conditioning

You may know that I am participating in my first Sprint Triathlon on 9/11 and I have to say that going to Sports Conditioning really gave me the confidence to sign up! For the last two years I was too scared to actually go to a class but I finally went in April and it was amazing! The class was extremely difficult  but the expereince truly pushed me and gave me the confidence to believe in myself and sign up for the Triathlon.

Here are the awesome blogs I nominate for the 7 Links
