Wednesday: 4.0 mile Run

Thursday: 12 mile Bike

Friday: 3.1 mile Run

Finding New Sneakers Over at the Boston Running Emporium

Lately I have been dealing with lots of leg pain, shin splints and muscle pulls. Quickly I figured out that my sneakers were most likely the culprit. So after reading Tina’s blog over at Carrots ‘N’ Cake about The South Boston Running Emporium I ventured off to Southie to buy a new pair of running sneakers.

I was so excited about going because I needed help. See, I have worn Asics for years and loved them, but now that I have been running outside for awhile I find them a bit heavy and not springy enough. So, I needed someone to help me find the perfect pair of running sneakers and I am happy to say that I found the best sneakers with Bill’s help!

Let me back up. First, I admitted to Bill that I wasn’t sure what I wanted and would LOVE his help!! To figure out what kind of sneaker I needed he watched me walk around without my shoes on and then grabbed me 5 pairs of sneakers to try on.

I loved all 5 pairs. Seriously. He did a great job finding shoes that fit perfectly and were the right amount of support and weight. Only problem? I couldn’t buy all five pairs. Thankfully Bill also helped me choose which was the right pair for me to take home and I went with the:

Brooks Defyance Sneakers and LOVE them!!

They are light but provide great stability and cushioning and I’ve already noticed my legs are feeling better.

So, thank you Bill for helping me pick out a great pair of sneakers! And everyone else out there, if you’re looking for a pair of sneakers skip the flashy City Sports and head over to Boston Running Emporium where great advice and awesome sneakers are waiting for you!
