Fitter Body, Fitter Brain

Posted on: 6 Sep 2012

Working out isn’t just good for your body. It has amazing benefits for your mind (and also for your emotions). Whether you love dancing, tennis, running, yoga, Zumba, weight lifting, spinning, whatever makes your heart sing :: just do it. Don’t let excuses, other people, or work get in your way. Make working out a priority and there is no way you’ll regret it – working out helps you clear your head, connect with your inner strength and burn off negative energy.

I mean seriously, have you ever regretted working out? I know I haven’t. Even when I’m sore the next day, I always feel better, brighter, shinier after exercising.

If you don’t have a workout routine yet I suggest trying lots of classes and exercises to figure out what works best for you. And if you do have a routine already it’s good to do the same thing – try, try, try lots of different things. Push yourself beyond your comfort zone, unleash your inner curiosity and embrace the challenges that come with trying something new. Don’t plateau in your body or your mind. By varying your exercises you’ll find new strengths, make new friends and learn something new about yourself.

My point (which is brief tonight) live vibrantly, boldly by moving your body. Human beings are not meant to be tied to a desk or a computer all day. Get up and get moving – your body, mind and spirit will thank you.
