Wellness by the Water

Posted on: 12 Sep 2012

The last nine or so months have been a bit… rough on me. I don’t have to go into the details to say there’s been a lot weighing on my heart, on my mind and pushing down my shoulders. Some of it hasn’t necessarily been bad but it’s still been a lot… I’ve been so busy though that I haven’t really given myself the room to grieve, the space to feel, the time to just be. I don’t know if there is any length of time or amount of space that could necessarily take the weights from my heart and shoulders but I will say that Wellness by the Water was a little slice of heaven that I needed.

At Wellness by the Water, an amazing event held by two of my favorite people – Kendall Covitz and Celeste Platt - I felt relief. Maybe it was the 2 hours of working out (intense but fun boot camp + flowy and moving yoga), or the support and connection I felt while being surrounded by so many wonderful women, or the 30 minute chair massage that worked out many kinks and tension in my back, or the 30 minute accupuncture session which relieved stress. Honestly it was probably all of those things.

Whatever it was – it was just what I needed. By the time I got home Saturday night and had dinner at a great restaurant, Vee Vee, I was done and ready for bed. Honestly I was asleep by 10 PM and didn’t get up until 9 AM the next day. Clearly Wellness by the Water was just what I needed.

The Retreat was an amazing, uplifting, soul-soothing experience that was extremely well orchestrated by Kendall and Celeste. Even though this was the first retreat they seemed completely in control and in the moment. And I think that’s something I need to really point out – Celeste and Kendall are fabulous women, phenomenal wellness practitioners and have huge, generous, super sparkly spirits that filled the room. Seriously, they are the perfect people to go to for support, connection and guidance and I’m so blessed to know them.

Best part? They are holding another Wellness by the Water Retreat in January and another one in the summer! So, I’m sure you’re thinking: well what do I really get?

Leave feeling strong, relaxed, informed and renewed.”

Hope to see you in January at the next Wellness by the Water!
