During my college graduation ceremony the speaker quoted Helen Keller with what has become my favorite quote: “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.”
I know it sounds silly but at that moment it hit me: Life was meant to be a crazy, wonderful, up-and-down adventure.
After that day I knew I wanted to live a more active, creative and exciting life.
Now I truly believe that we are all responsible for our own happiness. Now I realize that compassion, mindfulness and simplicity are the values that are most important to me. Now I have the opportunity to shine.
So while I do not strive for perfection, I strive for improvement and adventure!
My Mission: This blog isn’t about being perfect, it’s meant to be a space where I openly share my struggles and triumphs while living a healthy, mindful and compassionate life. This blog is meant to inspire and motivate others to take every day as a wonderful chance to try new things and embrace the positive changes within themselves.
Because I believe it is truly, never too late to change!
The Path to Here
After leaving a career as an Assistant Pastry Chef and graduating from college with a degree in Communication Studies I found myself drowning in Corporate America, feeling miserable and lost. After another day pulling my hair out at work and crying in the bathroom I realized: there had to be more to life than this emptiness. I needed creativity, excitement, adventure, color and passion.
Quickly I started feeling more alive, more connected and full of joy. And slowly it dawned on me :: This was my passion, my life and I wanted to shout it from the rooftops!
To empower people to live authentically and courageously
To help people let go of fear and embrace new adventures
To encourage people to choose compassion and mindfulness
To ease distress and create a community of love and support
To create space where people can let go of preconceived notions
To motivate people who want to make changes, to thrive, to be happier
Through my own experiences and knowledge I want to empower you to ::
