Exercising is important to me because it reminds me how strong, powerful and capable I truly am.
Every mile I run, every spin class I rock adds to my confidence and takes away a bit of stress and anxiety. Each time I finish a yoga class or get out of the pool I stand a bit taller and feel like a million bucks.
I love to workout because of how it makes me feel and seeing my body become more toned and stronger is just an added benefit that I’ll admit I like. I like knowing that my legs can power me through 5 miles and my arms can do 5 full push-ups (yea, that’s right) and I like feeling and looking good.
Ever since I became truly dedicated to being healthy, both physically and mentally, working out isn’t an obligation to me anymore, it’s a way of life and it’s a gift to myself.
Every time I lace up my sneaks I am reminding myself that I’m important and valuable and deserve to feel good, inside and out.
I know that I wouldn’t be where I am today without the inspiration I received through books, blogs and stories about other people changing their lives one mile at a time. So I hope you find my exercise journal helpful as you go through your own journey towards empowerment, balance, happiness and health. And don’t forget, it’s never too late to take that first step…
